Due to the recent devastating earthquake in Haiti, the needs of youths living and coming to Little Haiti – and the need for organizations prepared to address these needs – are greater than ever.Help the healing begin,Since 2007, Art Studio Miami has offered programs that promote healing and growth – providing a creative haven for children with no other means of support. Demand since the earthquake has only magnified. All have been directly affected by the earthquake, with the majority having lost immediate family members and additional relatives still in Haiti preparing for the potentially dangerous rainy season. The emotional and financial toll on local Haitian youths and their families will continue to be felt for years to come.
Your contributions are needed now, more than ever, to help Haitian youths in Miami overcome this tragedy, and continue to receive the resources and skills to support themselves long after the urgency has faded from public memory.

It costs $35,000 a year to send a youth from poverty to prison, permanently damaging their chances at becoming a successful, contributing member of society. Yet it only costs $70 a month to fully fund one student’s enrollment in a prevention program at Art Studio. This nominal amount not only reduces a youth’s risk of incarceration, but also significantly increases their potential for maintaining a healthy and successful lifestyle outside the dangers of poverty.
