Mentors Change Lives
We know that mentors can change lives for the better. If you’ve ever had a professional or personal mentor in your life, you know this too. Art Studio offers artists, teachers, and professionals the opportunity to give back by mentoring at-risk youth in a safe, structured setting. These valuable relationships have immediate, positive effects on youth behavior and self-esteem. Mentoring relationships also encourage and role model healthy social skills and professional attitudes, all while introducing youth to a variety of career paths and possibilities.
Each of us can think of mentors to whom we owe much of our success. For youth facing extreme adversity and poverty, the power of a mentor is ten-fold. Art Studio provides a safe and structured setting for you to ‘pay it forward’ and become a mentor for a youth in need.

Mentorship Provides Sustainability
At-risk youth such as those living in the Little Haiti area of Miami are often difficult to track and retain in out of school programs. Mentoring relationships help increase participation and consistency among these students, and also serve to enhance the individual impact of programs and services.
